Themed issues, three pieces per issue.  Just enough to say something and say it well. Just enough to see yourself in others’ stories and then have the space to find yourself in your own.

Current theme

First move, last move, big move, next move; across the country, in your body, up or down the ladder. Take it wherever you want to go—just go.

Moves

  • Fiction or non-fiction

  • Previously unpublished short stories essays, vignettes, poems, or opinion pieces

  • 100-1000 words

  • Female and non-binary writers, established and emerging

  • Female or non-binary main character or narrator
